Sugar and Artificial Sweeteners ... addictive?

A recent study found that 9 out of 10 mice preferred the taste of artificial sweeteners over cocaine...even when already addicted to cocaine. The same preference was found for the common sugar sucrose as well. When given the choice between water laced with saccharin or water laced with cocaine, 94% of the mice preferred the sweet taste of saccharin. Who would have thought?
